Senate hearing on UMG-EMI

HILL TOPPERS: Meanwhile, back in the States, the Senate Judiciary's Antitrust Subcommittee has announced the witnesses for next Thursday's hearing on the merger of UMG and EMI, and it’s quite a posse: Universal chieftain Lucian Grainge, EMI topper Roger Faxon, Live Nation/Ticketmaster emperor Irving Azoff, WMG’s Edgar Bronfman (who’s listed as “director,” whatever that means), Beggars Group Chairman Martin Mills and Gigi Sohn, president of public advocacy org Public Knowledge. Wonder if it’ll be aired on C-SPAN. (6/15a)
