Dan Wilson recent co-writes

POLYMATH FOR HIRE: On the heels of co-writing and co-producing Adele’s “Someone Like You,” Dan Wilson has been all over the place, geographically and stylistically. The locales range from Nashville, where he partnered on Dierks Bentley’s Country chart-topper “Home,” to Australia, where he and Missy Higgins came up with “Everyone’s Waiting,” the latest single from her current album, which is #1 Down Under. In the latest and most improbable of his collaborations, the former Semisonic frontman and Trip Shakespeare member has co-written and co-produced a track with Nas, Wilson’s first foray into hip-hop. Check out this list of Wilson’s recent writing partners: Pink, The Band Perry, Josh Groban (again), hit writer/producer Benny Blanco, Ben Folds, Spoon’s Britt Daniel, Lykke Li and a superstar to be named later. Unsigned as a recording artist, Wilson is also working on an album of his own. Maybe it does pay to go to Harvard. (6/20a)
