RADIOHEAD POSTPONES SHOWS: In a statement released yesterday, Radiohead said they’re postponing seven European dates following last Saturday’s Toronto stage collapse, which took the life of drum tech Scott Johnson and injured three other crew members. It seems that the collapse destroyed much of the group's elaborate light show and stage setup, parts of which are decades old and will take time to replace, forcing the postponements. "Whilst we all are dealing with the grief and shock ensuing from this terrible accident there are also many practical considerations to deal with," the statement read. “We will make every effort to offer the fans the very best show possible under the circumstances—thanks for your understanding and support." The band said it plans to announce the new dates on June 27, and they will also provide info for ticket holders unable to attend the rescheduled shows. Meanwhile, the Canadian Ministry of Labour identified four companies as being directly responsible for the collapse: Toronto’s Optex Staging and Services and Nasco Staffing Solutions, Live Nation and the band’s own Ticker Tape Touring.
