SUGAR IS SWEET: Searching for Sugar Man, the acclaimed documentary on the life of lost ‘70s Detroit rocker Sixto Rodriguez, received the Audience Award for Best International Features at the L.A. Film Festival. The film won the Audience Award in the World Cinema Documentary category when it premiered in January at the Sundance Film Festival. It also received a second place Audience Award at N.Y.’s Tribeca Film Festival. Sony Pictures Classics will release the movie July 27, while Sony Legacy will issue the film's soundtrack on July 24 and indie Light in the Attic will release a vinyl edition.
