Spaulding Exits INgrooves

HELLO, HE MUST BE GOING: INgrooves Fontana’s Ron Spaulding is exiting his post as Co-President of the newly minted distribution company just three months after his Fontana unit was acquired by the digital powerhouse from UMG. In an inter-office memo, CEO Robb McDaniels said: “Ron’s dedication to all our labels, business partners, and most importantly, his employees, has been second to none and he will be sorely missed as he moves on to the next chapter in his life.” According to McDaniels, Spaulding will have an ongoing advisory role to the company and went on to say: “We are lucky to have the benefit of a deep leadership team led by Dave Zierler as President, along with Amy Dietz as GM and Bryan Mead as SVP Marketing.” The highly respected Spaulding had spent 10 years with Priority Records and seven years in the WMG system moving from Elektra to WEA and WMG’s ILG unit before joining Fontana five years ago. Spaulding now becomes one of the hottest free agents in the industry. He can be reached at [email protected] or (646) 580-6010. (6/28p)
