Azoff vs. Kanye in a Battle of Egos

TWO EGOS, NO WAITING: The N.Y. Daily News is reporting that Kanye West and new manager Irving Azoff “have been butting heads.” According to one insider, the Live Nation/Ticketmaster kingpin, who took on West as a client shortly after the rapper began dating Kim Kardashian, “doesn’t have the kindest words for the rapper,” calling him “unmanageable” due to his eccentricities. West was turned on to Azoff by Kardashian, whose family has a long relationship with the music mogul. Kanye, who was previously managed by Gee Robertson, now calls Irving “nothing special” and reportedly said he may fire him. Azoff has a long history with the Kardashians, starting with Kim’s mom Kris Jenner’s first husband, the late Robert Kardashian. The music executive and lawyer had a working relationship with Azoff before passing away in 2003, and Azoff’s wife, Shelli , remains close to Jenner. Azoff also hosted the wedding of Kim’s younger sister Khloe Kardashian to Lamar Odom in his Beverly Hills mansion in Sept. 2009. A spokesman for Azoff told the Daily News the reporters "have bad sources." (7/9a)
