Kessler Upped at UMG

A TECH GUY: Jens Kessler has been named Chief Information Officer for Universal Music Group by EVP/CFO Boyd Muir. The L.A.-based Kessler will be responsible for all aspects of UMG’s Global Information Technology (IT) division, managing the strategy, development and implementation of all country and regional IT systems, and helping senior executives print out their email. Kessler began his career at UMG as VP of IT at Universal Music Germany. He was later promoted to Vice President of IT, Supply Chain and Sourcing at UMG International’s Londonheadquarters. (7/9a)
