Rossdale Eats Ribs

BUSH AND RIBS: What goes together in these lazy, hazy, crazy days of summer better than Bush and good old-fashioned American BBQ? Forget fish and chips, Brit Gavin Rossdale is down with meat, according to this week’s People magazine. While inLansing, MI, to perform at the Common Ground Music Festival with his band, the singer dropped into Meat Southern BBQ and Carnivore Cuisine, picking up a rack of ribs and a sampling of sauces, blue cheese and bacon potato salad, plus some Texas red chili to go, telling staff it was for a fishing trip off on the Grand River. He shook everyone's hand and even posed for a picture with a staffer. "He was really cool. We tried to give him free food and his tour manager insisted on paying us," Meat owner Sean Johnson said, adding that he gave them a very generous tip, as well as handing out passes to the staffers to see the show that night, where Rossdale gave the eatery an on-stage plug.
