Jay-Z christens Nets' Barclays Center with 5 shows

BROOKLYN, BABY: Jay-Z has added two more shows to the slate of concerts christening the Barclays Center, the new home of the (Dwight Howard-less) Nets, the N.Y. Daily News reports. Due to incredible demand for presale tickets for his initial three concerts, Jigga will also perform shows on Oct. 3-4. The Brooklyn arena’s opening night concert will be held Sept. 28, with two more performances scheduled for Sept. 29-30. Barclays Center spokesman Barry Baum said the pair of concerts will “give more people the chance to celebrate the opening of Brooklyn’s new sports and entertainment venue.” Tickets to all five performances will go on sale July 13 at 10 a.m. EDT at barclayscenter.com and ticketmaster.com.
