The Shins' Viral Video of the Day

VIRAL VIDEO OF THE DAY: Here’s The Shins’ new video for “It’s Only Life,” the latest track from the band’s marvelous Columbia album Port of Morrow, one of the best of 2012, according to our resident pop pundits Bud Scoppa and Roy Trakin. The video, which premiered on Pitchfork, was directed by Hiro Murai and takes place in an apocalyptic suburb where monsters have captured band leader James Mercer. Also, the band’s song “No Way Down” from the album is featured in the current box office smash film, Spider-Man. (7/12p)
