Bruce brings own generator to next concert

CRAZY CURFEW, THE SEQUEL: Taking no chances, Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band brought their own generator to their Sunday night show in Dublin. During the encore, they played “Twist and Shout”—which officials had cut off in mid-song the night before (note subtle Beatles reference) in London’s Hyde Park—from start to finish. Here’s empirical proof. The Boss then slyly segued into “I Fought the Law.” Unfortunately, Paul McCartney wasn’t able to join Bruce for the performance, as he had in London. For the record, the Dublin set lasted 3 hours 21 minutes. (7/18a)
