Karen's Verlaine guitar in Guitar Aficionado

LITTLE IVANA JEWEL: The August issue of Guitar Aficionado has a spread devoted to the ’58 Fender Jazzmaster played by Tom Verlaine during his Television days, which is now the proud possession of our own Karen “Ivana” Glauber, complete with Verlaine’s signature on the back. In the piece, Karen says she’s not much of a player—claiming her chops are limited to “the intro to ‘Smoke on the Water’ and a little bit of ‘Little Johnny Jewel.’” We’re taking that claim with a grain of salt, but hoping she’ll bring in her treasure next week and attempt to play those riffs for us.
