Conor Maynard Goes #1 in U.K.

HIGH CONTRAST: U.K. teenpop star Conor Maynard’s debut Parlophone album, Contrast, has shot straight to the top of the British albums chart, debuting at #1. The critically acclaimed album will be released in the U.S. on Capitol later this year. Conor marks the occasion with performances at this month’s V Festival, where he’ll be appearing at the Union Arena with his full band, on Aug. 18 in Staffordshire and Aug. 19 in Chelmsford. (8/6p)
