"HOME" RUN: 19 Entertainment looks like they have another winner on their hands with American Idol champ Phillip Phillips, who just released the video to his gold single, “Home,” the song he sung on the show’s finale and is approaching 850k in cumulative sales. The Season 11 topper saw his single go to #1 at iTunes after it was featured as the soundtrack for the 2012 U.S. Olympics Women’s Gymnastics team as they made their London debut, which should mean 200k in sales this week alone. Phillips will perform “Home” on the Today Show on Aug. 28 and on Live with Kelly Sept. 4. The clip, directed by British-born Joseph Toman (Timbaland, Nicole Scherzinger, Bono and The Edge) was shot on the road during the American Idol Live! Tour and can be seen below. Phillips has been boosted by newly named EVP/Worldwide Head of Music Jason Morey, who will oversee a management stable which includes Idol alumni Haley Reinhart, James Durbin, Lee DeWyze, Colton Dixon, Jessica Sanchez, Skylar Laine and Joshua Ledet. Phillips has just begun recording his debut album for 19/Interscope. (8/6p)
