Pat Higdon Music Inks with SONGS

SONGS GOES COUNTRY: N.Y. and L.A.-based SONGS Music Publishing is teaming up with Nashville music publishing veteran Pat Higdon to re-launch his company, Patrick Joseph Music. The venture will sign new writers, as well as develop existing songs by Matraca Berg, Tim Mensy, Troy Verges, Gary Harrison, Carolyn Dawn Johnson and Brett James. Said Higdon: “I looked for a partner that shared the same vision for signing and developing songwriters and artists. SONGS has exactly that creative focus with its marriage of old school and new era publishing.” Added SONGS Founder/CEO Matt Pincus: “There is simply no better partner for us than Pat Higdon, with his incredible, illustrious history as an independent publisher and entrepreneur. It’s a pleasure and honor to be in business with him, re-launching the great Patrick Joseph Music as a destination for writers in Nashville.” (8/9p)
