NBC Cuts Music Coverage from Olympics

NO MEDAL FOR NBC: Plenty of grumbling over last night’s NBC coverage of the Olympic Games closing ceremony from London, with the network editing out performances by Muse, the KinksRay Davies and a second song by George Michael. The network cut away from the ceremony to premiere an episode of Animal Practice, a new fall series, then returned just in time to catch less than 10 minutes of the Who’s medley of “Baba O’Riley,” “See Me Feel Me” and “My Generation.” For those who missed it, here’s Davies performing “Waterloo Sunset” to close out the Games.
