DEE-NUNCIATION: Paul Ryan just wants to rock, but his favorite rockers refuse to let him. Tom Morello’s problem with the Republican VP candidate’s recent revelation that Rage Against the Machine is one of his favorite bands is understandable, as is the Silversun Pickups’ objection to his use of “Panic Switch.” But now, Dee Snider, who once stumped for a certain GOP Governator, is demanding that Ryan stop using Twisted Sister’s “We’re Not Gonna Take It.” "I emphatically denounce Paul Ryan's use of my song 'We're Not Gonna Take It' as recorded by my band Twisted Sister,” Snider said in a statement released yesterday. “There is almost nothing on which I agree with Paul Ryan, except perhaps the use of the P90X." That last quip is a reference to Ryan’s professed workout regimen. As the L.A. Times’ Randall Roberts noted, pretty soon, the only songs Mitt Romney and Ryan might be able to play at their rallies will be the collected works of Hank Williams Jr. and Ted Nugent. (8/23a)
