JOURNEY TO THE RIGHT: Rock band Journey apparently “Don’t Stop Believin’” in Mitt Romney, especially his deep pockets. The rock band is being paid a cool $500k to play a 90-minute set at a Republican National Convention fundraiser Thursday night in Tampa. TMZ originally reported the Romney campaign had paid for the event, but RNC spokesman Ron Bonjean claimed Liberty Plaza, an organization benefiting Citizens Help Heroes, hired the band to play that night at a private venue unrelated to the convention. Kid Rock and Trace Adkins are also scheduled to perform during the convention (see Rumor Mill item below). (8/28p)
