A DEAL ON DICK: A coalition including Guggenheim Partners, Peter Guber’s Mandalay Entertainment and Mosaic Media Investment Partners have acquired Dick Clark Productions for an undisclosed price. The production company, founded by the late TV and radio personality who passed away in April, produces TV programming including the American Music Awards, The Academy of Country Music Awards, New Year’s Rockin’ Eve, So You Think You Can Dance and the Golden Globe Awards. Among majority owner Guggenehim Partners' holdings are Billboard and the Hollywood Reporter. Ryan Seacrest had been among those reportedly interested in the company, but he and his partners recently bowed out of the bidding. (9/4p)
