CLIMBING THE LADDER:  Rob Wetstone has been named VP Digital Strategy at RED Distribution by topper Bob Morelli. Wetstone will oversee RED’s digital business, including sales and marketing, digital production and operations, and digital strategy. He spent the previous six years as VP of Content at eMusic.com. Rob earned a B.A. at Harvard and an M.B.A. from the Yale School of Management, which makes him ridiculously overqualified for the job… Silvia Davi has been named VP and Head of Strategic Communications and Marketing for BMI, overseeing the corporate communications and marketing departments, reporting to SVP Corporate Strategy, Communications and New Media Richard Conlon. She was previously VP and Head of Corporate Communications and Brand at professional services firm Marsh & McLennan Companies. She also serves as Adjunct Professor in the Department of Journalism, Media Studies and Public Relations at Hofstra, where she is the proud owner of an old-school Wayne Chrebet jersey… Finally, former Philadelphia Weekly music editor Brian McManus has been named to the same post at Village Voice, replacing Maura Johnston. McManus has written for Rolling Stone, Spin, SF Weekly and the Chicago Reader, as well as authoring Philadelphia’s Best Dive Bars, which seems to be his best recommendation for the gig. McManus takes the illustrious post once held by Robert Christgau, Chuck Eddy, Joe Levy and Rob Harvilla. (9/18a)
