Kassler to Head Parlophone Label Group

IN THE HOLDING PEN: Look for veteran EMI Music exec David Kassler to be appointed to head the newly named Parlophone Label Group, the batch of companies that must divest according to the dictates of the European Commission as a stipulation for green-lighting the merger. Kassler will take over the role of "Hold Separate Manager," leading the label group until it is acquired by a buyer. He was previously EMI CEO for Europe and the world outside North and South America as well as President of EMI Europe, including the U.K. and Irish companies. (9/27p)
