Adele's "Skyfall" zooms to #1



FASTER THAN A SPEEDING BULLET: Just after 6 p.m. L.A. time on Thursday, HITS’ official chart watcher fired off an excited email to his fellow cesspool dwellers. “‘Skyfall’ just entered the Top 10,” he wrote. “This is probably the fastest I've ever seen anything climb the iTunes chart. It was outside of the Top 30 only about 30 minutes ago, and #20 when I bought it at 6:00. Originally scheduled for midnight tonight as a Friday release. Maybe it leaked earlier or they just wanted to stoke the numbers. Either way, this looks massive right now.” Turns out that Columbia pulled the trigger on the track, which is now #1 (duh), at 0:07 London time on Friday morning, in honor of the 50th anniversary of the release of the first Bond film, Dr. No, to be hereafter known as Global James Bond Day.
