Your Weakend Box Office Rundown

YOUR WEAKEND BOX OFFICE RUNDOWN: According to the good folks at www.boxofficemojo.com, the Top 12 movies earned an estimated $122.7 million this weekend, which is up an impressive 59% from the same time last year. So far this month, box office is up at least 38% year-over-year, and up 23% over 2009's record pace. Liam Neeson’s Fox thriller, Taken 2, tops the chart once again, reeling in $22m in 3,700 theaters for a per-screen average of $6k, and a two-week total of $87m, just beating out director/star Ben Affleck's well-received WB Oscar contender Argo, which pulled in $20m for a per theater average of $6.2k.
