Arcade Fire in studio

READY TO RESTART: Arcade Fire, who were last seen backing up Mick Jagger on “The Last Time” during the memorable season finale of SNL in May, have been holed up in a Montreal recording space for the last few months working on the follow up to 2010’s The Suburbs, drummer Jeremy Gara told Ottawa radio station CKCU in an on-interview yesterday. "We are just working like we always have," said Gara. "We took a couple months off and we've been writing songs. Now we're in the studio pretty much full time just doing what we do. And we kind of shut the door. We haven't really gone out and done anything in over a year now. We haven't done photos or interviews or anything. We're just working on music and growing beards and living at home a lot and going out to dinner together." Gara also noted that winning the 2011 Album of the Year Grammy hasn’t changed anything for the band. "It was pretty easy to be like, 'That was incredible, that was super weird—now let's go back to what we do,"' he said. The new LP will likely see the light of day during the latter part of 2013.
