Masuch statement on BMG releasing records

RE-MAKE/RE-MODEL: BMG CEO Hartwig Masuch offered a vision of his overall plans for the joint venture with KKR in a statement for the press release: “The signing of Bryan Ferry is a clear sign of the seriousness of our intent in the record business. BMG is the fastest-growing music company in history, something we have achieved both through organic growth and by acquisition. In our next stage of development, we are committed to ratcheting up our activity in recording rights. The key to our growth is offering artists an alternative which recognizes that the world has changed. We believe artists deserve better—and we are determined to give them the 21st century resources and service they demand." (10/31a)
