TOP OF THE U.K. POPS: Robbie Williams scored his first U.K. #1 single in eight years yesterday with "Candy," giving him 14 chart-toppers, tying him for second place behind only the four members of The Beatles, with his former Take That colleague Gary Barlow and Cliff Richard. Scottish DJ-artist Calvin Harris scored his second #1 album as his Columbia release 18 Months debuted at the top. “Candy,” co-written by Williams with Barlow and Tenje Olsen, sold 137k copies last week, the fast-selling male artist track of the year in Britain to date, and his first #1 since “Radio” in 2004. Harris makes it two U.K. best-selling albums in a row, after 2009’s Ready for the Weekend. His new set pushed out Kylie Minogue, who entered at #2 with Parlophone/EMI’s The Abbey Road Sessions. The deluxe version of Emeli Sandé's Virgin album, Our Version of Events, dropped #2-3 as fun.'s "Some Nights" raced #33-4 after their primetime exposure on The X Factor U.K. (11/5p)
