The Civil Wars Cancel Tour

LIFE AFTER WARTIME: On a post to their website, The Civil Wars have canceled their remaining European tour dates as well as everything on the schedule for 2013, as Joy Williams and John Paul White issued the following statement: “We sincerely apologize for the canceling of all of our tour dates. It is something we deeply regret. However, due to internal discord and irreconcilable differences of ambition, we are unable to continue as a touring entity at this time. We thank each and every one of you for your amazing love & support. Our sincere hope is to have new music for you in 2013.” Within moments of the announcement, the band’s site crashed for the second time. Ironically, the first time was after their Grammy appearance earlier this year. (11/6p)
