Tame Impala wins NME Album of the Year

LET THE BIG CAT EAT: Tame Impala’s Lonerism has been named NME's Album of the Year, outpointing such worthy competitors as Grammy contender Frank Ocean and Mercury Prize winner Alt-J. The Aussie band’s sophomore album also scored high in the 2012 Top 50s of Uncut (#11) and Mojo (#12), while being named Triple J's Album of the Year Down Under. Check out the band performing “Feels Like We Only Go Backwards” last week on Later…With Jools Holland. Here’s the NME Top 10; you can see the rest of the Top 50 on the mag’s site.
