Spangler upped at Republic

STAR SPANGLERED BANNER: Gary Spangler has been named SVP Promotion and Operations for Republic, label chief Monte Lipman announced this morning. Spangler was previously VP Crossover Promotion, where he contributed to promo campaigns for acts including, Lil Wayne, Drake, Nicki Minaj, Enrique Iglesias and Taylor Swift. Said Lipman: "Gary constantly goes and above and beyond, elevating the profile of both the label and the artists with each promotional campaign he spearheads. He's reliable, industrious, and extremely versatile. On behalf of our entire staff, I'd like to offer my sincerest congratulations about this position. It is well deserved."
