INgrooves Fontana

LICENSE TO BILL: Digital distribbery INgrooves Fontana has signed a pact with BeatStars, a “digital marketplace” that enables producers and songwriters to license songs and beats directly to artists. The deal gives BeatStars a presence in the INgrooves Fontana Client Console, so that the distributor’s label and artist partners have direct access to the former’s production services. INgrooves Fontana founder-CEO Robb McDaniels has been named to the BeatStars Advisory Board. “This is a great day for music producers and production content owners as major music companies begin to take interest in this type of music tech startup,” McDaniels said. “The industry lacks a centralized hub for production content owners to exploit master works and inspire collaboration for song creation. BeatStars fills that import niche.” BeatStars also announced a DIY mobile initiative for writers and artists. Meanwhile, the HITS client console is mostly just that one video of the dubstep cat.
