Geffen's $100m gift to UCLA med school

OPEN YOUR WALLET AND SAY "AAAH": Legendary multimedia macher and philanthropist David Geffen has announced that he'll be bestowing a $100 million gift upon the UCLA Medical School, the Los Angeles Times has reported. This act of generosity will apparently enable a full, free ride for some 30 med students to the aptly named David Geffen School of Medicine, though by our math there'd still be some left over. Oy, our mother always said we were making the wrong career choice, but did we listen? (12/13p)
