LES MIS BIZ: The digital release date for Universal Republic’s Les Misérables: Highlights From the Motion Picture Soundtrack has been moved up to 12/21 after being originally slated to coincide with the Universal Pictures musical’s release on the 25th. As the iTunes store won’t be changed over Christmas, the revised date ensures that the 20-song set—featuring live-on-camera vocals by stars Hugh Jackman, Anne Hathaway, Amanda Seyfried, Sacha Baron Cohen and Russell Crowe, among others—will now be available to iPhone-toting moviegoers itching to purchase the music as the closing credits roll. While the physical release date remains 12/25, retailers will be permitted to place the soundtrack on shelves on 12/21 if shipments arrive by then. (12/17p)
