Tame Impala hype

INDIE-RAMA: Tame Impala’s neo-psychedelic opus Lonerism, which won the NME poll and is showing up all over the place on year-end Top 10s, did 6k this week for 55k total. The Aussie band’s sophomore effort, on Modular, is shaping up as a rock album to watch from the indie sector. Meanwhile, the Lumineers and Mumford juggernauts continue, as banjos and boot stomps become de rigueur. Feels like we only go backwards, indeed. (1/3a)
