HE’S THE BOSS: With the exit of Irving Azoff, 46-year-old Live Nation Entertainment President/CEO Michael Rapino is the man in charge. Prior to the merger with Ticketmaster/Front Line, Rapino was President/CEO of Live Nation since August 2005. Under his leadership, the concert promotion, ticketing and management company has expanded into a global enterprise, now in more than 30 countries with revenues of more than $5 billion. The Canadian exec was previously CEO/ President for Global Music for Clear Channel Music Group. He also led Clear Channel Entertainment’s London-based International Music Division. Early in his career, Rapino co-founded Core Audience Entertainment, a leading concert promotion and entertainment marketing company inCanada, which was acquired by SFX in 1999. He began his career at Labatt Breweries, eventually becoming head of marketing, overseeing their brands and entertainment assets. He graduated Lakeview University with a bachelor’s degree in business. (1/3p)
