HMV goes bust

RETAIL END: Embattled U.K. music and DVD retailer HMV has filed for administration--and its shares are being suspended from the London Stock Exchange--after its request for £300m in funding from suppliers was denied. Deloitte is overseeing the search for a buyer; HMV's 230 stores employ more than 4,000 staffers.  In the six months leading up to October 2012, the company's net debt reached £176.1m. On the bright side, now's the time to grab that Benny Hill box set. (1/14p)
