The Airborne Toxic Event Announce New Album

BLOOD ON THE TRACKS: The Airborne Toxic Event are about to release Such Hot Blood, their third album and first in two years, on Island Records, due this spring. The new single, "Timeless," can be heard here. The band will play two sold-out shows in N.Y. this week (tonight and tomorrow) at Webster Hall., then return to their hometown of L.A. to play the Mayan Theatre on Jan. 23, which is also sold out. The dates are part of a nine-city North American tour with shows scheduled for the House of Blues in San Diego (3/30), ending at the Warfield Theater in San Francisco (4/11). The group will also play at this year’s SXSW in Austin, March 8-17. The new album was recorded at Nashville’s famed Blackbird Studios with Grammy-award winning producer Jacquire King (Kings of Leon, Of Monsters and Men, Tom Waits). Such Hot Blood is the follow-up to 2011’s All at Once. "There's nothing like Nashville for starting new in music," said the group. "It gets in your blood, the rhythm of the place, the people. Making this record was the most challenging and all-encompassing experience we've ever had as a band.” (1/15a)
