Charlie Walk Don't Run at Republic
WALK THIS WAY: Charlie Walk is in the house at Republic Records, where he will officially begin his tenure next week as Executive Vice President, overseeing promotion, marketing and publicity, reporting to the label's Monte and Avery Lipman. Expect a formal announcement imminently. The veteran music exec was previously President of Epic Records and most recently a partner at JWalk, an advertising and marketing agency whose clients included Lacoste, Equinox, Kenneth Cole and Deleon Tequila. He also brokered an exclusive partnership with Endemol USA to develop scripted and reality programming. The sneaker he holds at right was once worn by jockey Willie Shoemaker. (1/23a)
