Brian Smith Joins Live Nation

MR. SMITH GOES TO LIVE NATION: Veteran Troubadour talent buyer Brian Smith has joined Live Nation North American Concerts’ Southern California office, where he will program venues in L.A. and the Southland, in addition developing new regional events for the company. Smith joins a roster which includes Bill Silva, Andy Hewitt, Emily Simonitsch, Nick Masters, Eric Herz, Rich Best and Greg Siegel, who book such venues as the Wiltern, Verizon Wireless Amphitheater, Hollywood Palladium, Gibson Amphitheatre and the Avalon.  The team also books stages throughout San Diego, including San Diego State University’s Viejas Arena and Open Air Theatre, and Las Vegas.  Smith previously booked the Troubadour, including the venue’s landmark 50th Anniversary event with Carole King and James Taylor, Prince’s 2010 residency and special shows by the Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Cure and more.  He also produces concerts for the Hollywood Forever cemetery featuring Bon Iver, The xx, The Weeknd and Sigur Ros.
