TOMMY SPEAKS: Ex-Sony Music head Tommy Mottola hypes his new book, Hitmaker: The Man and His Music, on The Today Show this morning with Matt Lauer. Asked about Mariah Carey’s accusation he was a ”Svengali” in controlling her career, he defends himself: “All the things it takes to make a superstar, all the pressures that go along with that, and being thrown in the middle of a routine that is almost unbearable to withstand for anyone could absolutely feel that—those pressures would be overwhelming enough to react like that.” For more, see the clip below.
