Ray De La Garza named GM at 2101

BUT YOU CAN CALL HIM RAY: Ray De La Garza has been named GM at 2101 Records by Chairman/CEO RedOne. De La Garza, formerly Radio Disney's VP of Programming, will oversee day-to-day operations of the Universal Music International JV label's Promo, Marketing, Publicity, Sales, Branding and A&R departments. "I am thrilled to have someone of Ray's caliber and experience join my label," reads a statement from RedOne, "and I am pleased to announce that he will henceforth be known as Red Five." 2101 enjoyed its first platinum record last fall with Havana Brown's "We Run the Night" f/Pitbull.
