STAR-SPANGLED PRESS CONFERENCE: "I'm a perfectionist ... I practice until my feet bleed," explained Beyoncé at today's Super Bowl press conference in New Orleans, Rolling Stone reports, where (as this video attests) she sang the crap out of our National Anthem and sure as shootin' was NOT lip-synching. She attributed the Inaugural flap about the latter issue to being under-rehearsed with the DC orchestra, noting that singing to a pre-recorded track was "very common" and that she remained "proud" of her performance. Still, she underscored that on Super Bowl Sunday, "I will absolutely be singing live. This is what I was born to do." Ms. Sasha Fierce demurred when asked for details about her planned halftime perf, including the Destiny's Child issue. But she said she felt "like a teenager" harmonizing with her former bandmates again on their new single, "Nuclear." She also promised updates on her touring and other plans after the big game.
