Apple #1 in phone share

#1 WITH A CAVEAT: In other good news for Apple, whose stock is 34.7% below its all-time high of $700, a comScore report says the iPhone has increased its marketshare to 36.3% in Q4 of 2012, up from 34.3% at the end of the previous quarter. But chief rival Samsung was also up, grabbing 21% of the market compared to 18.7% in Q3. These gains ate into the marketshares of HTC and Motorola, both of which were down. The report substantiate results released last week by Strategy Analytics showing that Apple had become the #1 mobile phone vendor by volume in the U.S. for the first time. (2/7a)
