iTunes charts

iTUNES CHARTS: Not surprisingly (see next item), Macklemore & Ryan Lewis’ “Thrift Shop” continues to reign supreme on the singles chart, accounting for a tidy sum of the 25 billion tracks sold by the iTunes Store. Also not surprisingly (ditto), Bruno Mars’ “When I Was Your Man” is the closest challenger. And Fall Out Boy’s comeback single, released on Monday, is holding strong at #4. Another point of interest is Tim McGraw’s latest, on which he gets a strategic assist from Taylor Swift, as the longtime Curb artist joins the Big Machine roster. McGraw’s debuting album, meanwhile, holds down the top spot, just ahead of Josh Groban’s new one. One more thing: Note the positions of “Ho Hey” and The Lumineers in advance of Sunday night’s Grammys, relative to where they’ll sit after the telecast. You gotta love this time of year. (2/1a)
