Daft Punk on Columbia

HARDER BETTER FASTER STRONGER: That’s what producer Nile Rodgers is calling his work with avant-EDM duo Daft Punk on their first album for Columbia Records. The band announced the alliance by placing the above image on their website and Facebook, where it has already attracted more than 90k in likes and 12k shares since going up just eight hours ago. Rodgers has been working with the group’s Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo, saying it’s as great as anything he’s done “with Bernard Edwards, Bowie, Duran or Madonna,” telling Mixmag: “It’s going to be so cutting edge that people aren’t going to expect what they’re doing.” (2/26p)
