Lionel Conway, Brett Gurewitz form pubco

NAME THAT TUNE: Publishing legend Lionel Conway has come up with an unconventional way to announce a career move—by way of a Facebook message that doubles as an invitation to participate in a contest. “After many years of signing great writers and artists to other companies, I have decided to partner with Brett Gurewitz (Bad Religion, Epitaph/Anti Records) and finally start my own company,” Lionel wrote yesterday. “Our first signing is the wonderfully talented singer/songwriter Sean Rowe. His album Salesman and the Shark on Anti was just released. Here's the problem: Brett and I still don't have a name for our company! So I'm putting it out there to you, my Facebook Friends! If you can come up with a great name, we will both take you out for a great meal!” At last count, the message had 122 likes and 114 comments. Popular guy, that Lionel. As for the name, how about combining “Lionel” and “Brett” to create Libre Music? According to Wikipedia, the word denotes "the state of being free", as in "having freedom" or "liberty." (3/7a)
