STRINGS ATTACHED: The "bombastic" acoustic version of "Timeless," by Island/IDJ's The Airborne Toxic Event featuring The Calder Quartet, debuted today on ARTISTDirect.com. The clip was recorded at Bedrock Studios in L.A.'s Echo Park neighborhood, where the esteemed string players reportedly didn't seem to mind the ratty carpet and meandering German Shepherd. ATE frontman Mikel Jollett referred to the Quartet as "rock stars in the classical world." The Airborne Toxic Event's four-song EP, The Secret--which features the single version of "Timeless"--streeted on Monday. (3/13p)
