Daft Punk Monkeys Around

DAFT ON ARRIVAL: That new Daft Punk album now has a name, Random Access Memories, and a release date on Columbia Records, May 21, the techno band's first studio effort since 2005’s Human After All. The French duo first announced a new release via a 15-second spot that aired on Saturday Night Live. The band has released another snippet at randomaccessmemories.com, while a 56-second clip of a simian is now up on YouTube. The album, produced by the band, is available for pre-order now at iTunes; airplay is taking off. Stay tuned. (3/25a)
