Reed Pulls Out of Coachella

THERE HE GOES AGAIN: Veteran Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Lou Reed has pulled out of Coachella, where he was expected to perform on opening nights of the festival weekend in Indio, April 12 and 19, according to the Orange County Register. No reason was given for the 71-year-old’s cancellation, which also includes scrapped dates at the Warfield in San Francisco on April 14, the Golden State Theater in Monterey April 16 and the Orpheum Theater in downtown L.A. April 17. Along with 71-year-old Rodriguez, subject of the Oscar-winning documentary Searching for Sugarman, Reed would’ve been the oldest performer at this year’s desert fest. (3/26a)
