Bette Midler as Sue Mengers on Broadway

BETTE’S BACK ON BROADWAY: Bette Midler, who made her performing debut in the musical Fiddler on the Roof, returns to Broadway for a one-woman show, I’ll Eat You Last, based on the life of super agent Sue Mengers, with previews at the Booth Theater starting tonight. The show is scheduled to open April 24. Midler stars as the outrageous Hollywood agent for an evening of “gossip, dirty secrets and behind-the-scnes stories only Sue knew... and Bette could tell.” The show was written by Tony winner and three-time Oscar nominee John Logan (The Aviator, Sweeney Todd, Hugo) and directed by two-time Tony winner Joe Mantello.
