WIND-UP TAKES CLEAR CHANNEL PITCH: Wind-up Records and radio giant Clear Channel have inked a deal to share digital and broadcast radio revenue. The indie joins previous partners Big Machine, Glassnote, Dualtone, Robbins Entertainment, Naxos, DashGo and spin Entertainment in making an arrangement with the radio chain. Details of the deal were not disclosed, but Wind-up artists will now receive royalties through the label rather than receive their share directly through SoundExchange, which means Clear Channel will not have to pay a statutory performance royalty of 0.2 cents per stream. The Wind-up roster includes Creed, Finger Eleven, Evanescence, Seether, O.A.R. and a number of developing artists, including Civil Twilight, Young Guns and Jillette Johnson. (4/9a)
